Definition of Accent Light
It's light that draws focus to specific objects or a space in an area.
For this reason, it’s also called highlighting.
Some examples would be wall fixtures designed to draw attention to an art piece, plant, or near an interesting furniture feature.
It’s usually brighter than ambient light to effectively illuminate the chosen pieces. In the sauna, you’ll often find accent lighting under the bench to highlight a heater or near a backrest.
