How Delivery Works

Your sauna ships via freight carrier — a more personalized delivery experience than standard parcel shipping, with scheduled appointments and hands-on coordination. Here's what to expect:

1. Pick Up From Warehouse (Days 1-3)

Once your order is placed we request a freight carrier to pick up your sauna from our Southern California distribution center. We use all of the major freight carriers, including Saia, Estes Express, Custom Companies and ACF Freight. Pick up usually happens within 1-3 business days.

2. Transit to Your Local Terminal (Days 3-8)

Your sauna travels to the freight terminal closest to you. Once it arrives, the carrier will call you directly to schedule a delivery appointment — your sauna won't be delivered without one. Depending on your location, a last-mile carrier with a smaller truck may handle the final leg. We'll let you know if that's the case.

3. Delivery Day (Days 8-10)

On your scheduled date, the carrier will arrive with your sauna and lower it off the truck via liftgate, placing it at your driveway or as close to your home as your space allows. Free shipping includes curbside delivery.

When your sauna arrives, take a moment to inspect the packaging before signing. If you notice any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and email us photos at info@sunvalleysaunas.com — we'll handle it from there.

Great sauna!

We finally broke in our new sauna! We love the FM/bluetooth feature. The soothing lights and the heat. Four people could easily fit in this sauna. We had our contractor put it together. It is in our finished basement. The first thing when I go downstairs is the fragrant smell of cedar. It is a great design. The customer service is great! I wouldn’t hesitate in buying other products that they offer. It is a great sauna for the design and price!

Great Sauna

Now that I am up and running, I am very happy with this sauna. The size is great, with enough room for two people to extend legs on the benches and probably room for 4+ if you are willing to squeeze a bit. I love the smell and look of the red cedar and the full glass front. I will say the glass isn't as solid as I would like and shakes a little when the door is closed, but it still works well and feels durable. The delivery and installation was considerably more difficult than was advertised. The three boxes arrived on a pallet that was over 800 pounds. The driver agreed to wheel the pallet from the street to my garage door, but it was too tall to wheel inside. Saying he had fulfilled his duties the driver left. My wife and I separated the boxes, but one of them was too heavy for us to move so we had to get a neighbor to help us get it into the garage. I hired a carpenter and electrician to help me put it together and hook it up. It took the three of us about 4 hours to install. Also, I did decide to switch to a Huum Drop 9 heater and consulted with Sun Valley about doing so. They said it was possible, however, upon installation it became very obvious that this heater is not compatible. Thankfully, the carpenter I hired was able to make some adjustments and reinforcements to enable it to work. (this was in addition to the 4 hours of install time I mentioned earlier). Now that everything is together, I am loving the sauna and it is a great addition to my home. I decided to go with 4 stars due to the difficulty of installation (relative to the expectations that were set) and a few places where the quality was a bit lower than I would expect at this price point. Those are: the somewhat shaky glass I mentioned earlier, the cedar for the walls is a very thin veneer, the floor has the cedar lattice but is otherwise open to below, and the screw covers are plastic instead of wood. With the exception of those few nits this is a great sauna and I would happily make this purchase again.
