Finally got my loyly!

I'd been looking at purchasing options for a long time. I was a little apprehensive about ordering something online without ever actually seeing it, and I wasn't sure if a traditional sauna was in the picture for us, but after reading testimonials and reviews about Sun Valley Saunas and the Sun Ray brand, I decided to take the shot, and am I ever glad that I did!
Aside from the delivery showing up all tipped over, (luckily with no damage), our Sun Ray Charleston showed up quickly; was REALLY fast and easy to assemble; and turned my wife into a sauna Queen (might even say junkie) after the first session. We've had it for a little over a month, and have used it probably 5 of 7 nights/ week. We love our quiet relaxing time together!
The panels are really easy to assemble. The finishes are great! The cedar interior is clear, smooth, and so fragrant! I had a little trouble with the wiring initially, and need to re-wire the light so that it isn't tied to the heater but rather the timer (I landed the wires where the instructions said to, the only problem is that when the heating elements reach temp, the light shuts off) I'm sure if I call Sun Valley, they will have had an easy fix answer for me, I just haven't made it a priority). I have some electrical background, so wired it myself. I'll say that it does require some care and knowledge, so isn't a typical DYI task. And it really does need the correct amperage breaker!
We installed in our basement which has a history of being damp, so I put it up on a few sections of Dricore underlayment with a sheet of EcoCork foam underlayment (see Home Depot) to keep it up off of the floor. So far it's toasty and dry! So traditional steam was the answer! (I'm old school, and not a strong believer in the infra-red- feels like being in a convection oven to me).

We are thrilled with our Sun Ray Charleston sauna and have no doubt that if we ever have an issue that Sun Valley will take care of us!
