The Best Golden Designs Infrared Saunas and Steam Saunas

Golden Designs makes some of the best full spectrum infrared saunas and steam saunas out there today.  Based out of Southern California, Golden Designs uses high end materials, such as Western Canadian Red Cedar and Himalayan salt bars, to construct many of their infrared saunas and steam saunas.  

Most of the Golden Designs Saunas on this list are constructed from sustainably sourced Western Canadian Red Cedar, and the infrared saunas on this list are primarily full spectrum infrared saunas.  Full spectrum infrared saunas provide benefits from all three areas of infrared light, far infrared, mid infrared and near infrared.

2. Golden Designs Saunas "Kuusamo Edition" 6 Person Indoor Traditional Steam Sauna (GDI-7206-01) - Canadian Red Cedar

The Golden Designs Kuusamo 6 person steam sauna is a stunning steam sauna with two-tiered seating, made with a gorgeous Western Canadian Red Cedar interior and Hemlock exterior.  Heated with an 8kW Harvia electric sauna heater with built-in controls, the Bluetooth stereo and oversized ambient chromotherapy lighting are controlled with an interior touchscreen control panel. 

Comfortably seating six people, with three on each tier, the Kuusamo steam sauna comes with a bucket and ladle, thermometer and sandglass timer, as well as sauna stones for your heater. This Golden Designs Reserve Edition Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna is a six person version of the Reserve GDI-8040-02, but this version is made in Hemlock.  What's great about this 6 person infrared sauna is the wrap around bench that provides tons of room to lay down and spread out if you're by yourself, or more than enough room for you and your friends.  

The GDI-8260-01 also features a Bluetooth stereo and speakers, 3 full spectrum carbon infrared heaters, 5 Himalayan salt bars, chromotherapy lighting and a bronze privacy tempered glass door.

4. Golden Designs Saunas GDI-6106-01 Near Zero EMF Far Infrared Sauna

Going in a totally opposite direction from the Reserve Edition infrared saunas mentioned above, the Golden Designs GDI-6106 Near Zero EMF Far Infrared Sauna is a great 1-2 person sauna that doesn't take up a ton of room, and just gets the job done. If you live in a condo or an apartment and don't have a lot of space, but still want the luxury experience of a sauna in your home, this 1-2 person sauna is a good option. 

Featuring 6 carbon far infrared heaters, the GDI-6106 is built from sustainably sourced Canadian Hemlock.  It comes with an auxiliary input and interior and exterior LED control panels.  Easy to put together, the four walls clasp together and only take a couple of hours to fully assemble. The GDI-6106 also comes with chromotherapy lighting and an interior reading light.

Every been to Copenhagen? Me neither.  But it sounds lovely.  This 3 person steam sauna made by Golden Designs also sounds pretty lovely.  Constructed from Western Canadian Red Cedar, the Copenhagen 3 person sauna is a higher end luxury experience with the dreamiest "galaxy" chromotherapy lighting (Pictured below).  It also comes with a Bluetooth stereo and speakers, backrests and a touch screen control panel.  

The wrap around bench is also a really nice feature that allows you to lay back and relax if you're in the sauna by yourself, but also has more than enough room for three people to enjoy as well.  

Heated by a 5kW SaunaCore electric sauna heater, the Copenhagen 3 person sauna comes with everything you need to enjoy your sauna for years to come, including sauna stones, a bucket and ladle to pour water, a thermometer and sandglass timer to keep track of your sauna sessions.  

If you're in the market for a high quality, luxury, indoor steam sauna, the Copenhagen is an excellent choice.  I don't think anything beats cedar when it comes to steam saunas, and you also get a lot of luxury features with this model that you simply don't in others.

6. Golden Designs "Uppsala" 4 Person Barrel Traditional Steam Sauna - Canadian Red Cedar

Golden Designs doesn't only make indoor infrared saunas and steam saunas, they also make some of the nicest barrel saunas on the market.  The Golden Designs Uppsala 4 person barrel sauna is one of those.  Barrel saunas are pretty simple by design, but the barrel shape does a fantastic job of moving the hot air around so it doesn't gather at the top of the sauna.  

This isn't the type of sauna that comes with all the bells and whistles.  This is the outdoor barrel sauna you enjoy some quiet time with.  Made from Western Canadian Red Cedar the Uppsala is heated with a 6kW Harvia KIP electric sauna heater.  Harvia has been making sauna heaters for around 70 years, and the KIP is one of their best selling heaters.  The Uppsala also comes with a bucket and ladle, thermometer and sandglass timer.  

With a four person capacity and two benches on either side, there's plenty of room for two people to lay down and relax, or four people to sit down and lean back on the benches. 

Barrel saunas are really great for backyards or by the pool and the Uppsala four person barrel sauna is no exception.
